Bowl with cut decoration
- Iran
- 5th-7th century AD
- Sasanian
- Glass
- H8.4×φ11.2cm
This bowl is made from clear cut glass. Its design features a pattern of two concentric circles carved in two tiers, where a small circle rises above a larger circle. Fragments from a cut bowl of the same kind were found in Kamigamo Shrine in Kyoto, indicating the scope of Sasanian Persia's trade route at the time.
