Dionysus, god of wine, is painted on one side of the pot, and on the opposite side is Apollo, who is playing the harp. In front of Dionysus holding a rhyton, Minos takes out a bottle; at the back is half-beast Satyrus (companion of Dionysus) dancing drunkenly. On the opposite side is Apollo playing the harp, accompanied by a fawn. Muse, goddess of poetry, is holding a bunch of flowers and standing on the side of him.
