Hirayama Ikuo said, "When I came to the Ziggurat of Ur, there was a building that restored the sacred altars. French writer Andre Marlowe names it the beautiful ladder to the tower. The altar was a sacrificial building and a huge symbol of the flooding position of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, which irrigated fertile land. It is said that even now when the river rises, the altar seems to be floating in the water.
