Bodhgaya, located in northeastern India, is the place where Sakyamuni was enlightened. After his visit Hirayama Ikuo said, "There are both Buddhists and Hindus here, and one can read the Scripture while wandering around the pagoda, where atmosphere was charged with solemn. And maybe in this place that Sakyamuni was enlightened and had a different mood."At the side corner of the main hall of the 52-meter-high Great Bodhi Temple is the place where Sakyamuni found his enlightment. There are Vajra seats and big Bodhi trees were planted there.
