Central Asia
Central Asia, from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China to Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, as its name indicates, is a strategic spot in the Silk Road between East and West Asia, and also the bifurcation point to South Asia. In Alexander the Great’s Eastern Expedition, Xuanzang’s journey from China to India, and the great migration of nationalities from northern China to the West, they all passed through Central Asia. The Silk Road converged different cultures in the region.
